August 2007
Dear Friends in Christ,
Would you take a moment after reading this letter to pray and ask our Heavenly Father what He would have you to do to be a blessing to Israel and God’s Chosen People? I cannot tell you what is God’s will in your giving, but only that the Bible teaches us to give and to be a blessing to others. I personally believe that thoughtful giving must include Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, which make up the nation of Israel. I say this about Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the present because as you well know by your faith that they are alive now in God’s presence. Moreover, today, when we pray for and bless their children in our actions we are blessing them. When we are a blessing to Israel we are sending a blessing ahead of us, which we will receive when we arrive in that wonderful place Jesus is preparing for those that love Him.
With that said, Christians For Biblical Israel had a very good board member meeting last month. In the meeting, the board authorized me, during my upcoming October 2007 trip to Israel, to distribute to our projects all monies in accounts other than that designated for administrative and my support. As of today, CFBI has a little over $10,000 to distribute to our projects in their ministries to the poor and needy in Israel. Please pray with me that this total will exceed $15,000 before I leave for Israel. Paul said in Romans 10:1, “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” CFBI and our projects are working and praying that your generous giving will result in the salvation of many souls.
A word:
God’s blessings upon us are more than we often realize and comprehend. His blessings are so numerous that we receive most of them without consideration and never give credit that they are truly from Him.
When walking with God we desire of Him to bless us with joys and happiness. Our expectations bring us to a point that when we get blessed with a special blessing we know that it is from God and we must, with thankful hearts, praise Him for it. Have you received one of these blessings recently? If not, obedience to the Lord will bring a blessing. After obedience must come walking in faith and patiently wait for the Lord to provide.
Please take a moment to give thanks and know what God is doing for you. Then ask how He would have you share your blessings with others.
Thank you very much for your prayers, letters, donations and support. We praise and thank the Lord for each of you in our prayers, and are thankful for your faithfulness in getting the Gospel into all the World.
Yours for Israel and God’s Chosen People,
Talmadge Campbell and all with CFBI
