Sept. 24, 2007
Dear Friends in Christ,
Tom and I will be leaving for Israel the middle of October. Please keep us and our families in your prayers. As many of you already know, this is our annual collection/distribution trip to help the saints, the lost, and our projects in their evangelistic efforts. We are acting during this time to show and give our full support so our projects can do more to bring glory and honor to our God and Savior. “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.” (I Corinthians 16:1) “For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.” (Romans 15:26 & 27)
We have recently heard from all of our projects. Each reports on the immediate needs in Jerusalem and through-out all of Israel. Project Ecclesia speaks of the mostly Christian Sudanese refugees fleeing genocide in Sudan. They crossed into Israel from Egypt and several of these families in the church need help. Project Helping Hand reports about a young single mother who was an orphan and is still living a difficult life. She lives in a bomb shelter. In order to enter her dark and damp room she must go through a storage area reserved for the tenants in the building. Project Solomon continues its work on many fronts: distributing food baskets, blankets, and helping families with other needs.
We are about $2000.00 short of our dollar goal distribution. Please pray that we will reach our goal. In addition, along with praying for CFBI to be a great blessing to our projects, pray that Tom and I will personally be a special blessing during our trip to Israel.
CFBI’s projects do a work worthy of our prayers and financial support. Their task is difficult and we want to do all we can to be of service to them. They are all fully dedicated to the Lord and work very hard to see that the lost hear the good news of the salvation that God has provided through his Son. Their ministering to the poor and needy gives a living testimony of Jesus’ love working in them. I cannot say enough about how worthy each of our projects are of our prayers and support. The “evil one” desires to interrupt and destroy their service to our Lord. Please, please, please, keep them effectually in your prayers.
All with CFBI wish you a Jewish Happy New Year – Shana Tova! Thank you for your prayers and support. We praise and thank the Lord for each of you in our prayers.
Yours for Israel and God’s Chosen People,
Talmadge & Timmie Campbell
