EDITORIALS FROM THE HEBREW PRESS
Yediot Ahronot asserts that, "The Holocaust was an inseparable part of 20th century European civilization." The editors believe that, "It is no shame in the Islamic world to deny the holocaust. It is even a right: It is permitted to scream openly that the Jews falsified history and invented the horrors of the holocaust in order to steal Arab land." The paper calls on the government to take better care of elderly Holocaust survivors who live in the country.
Hatzofeh says that, "Olmert and Peretz will face very severe labor pains upon the establishment of the government," and doubts whether the new government will finish a full four-year term in office.
