SUMMARY OF EDITORIALS FROM THE HEBREW PRESS

Both paper comment on State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss's recent report on the planning and implementation of the Disengagement Plan:

Hatzofeh commends State Comptroller Lindenstrauss and notes that his report, "very strongly criticizes both the Government and the SELA Disengagement Authority over how they dealt with the Gush Katif uprootees."

Yediot Ahronot, in its second editorial, cites the report and asserts, regarding Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, that, "The man who knew how to move mountains, did not know how to manage – not the country, not the people, not the army and not even his family."

Yediot Ahronot notes that many Kadima leaders, "have gone back on their belief in annexing all parts of the Land of Israel that were occupied in the Six Day War."
