SUMMARY OF EDITORIALS FROM THE HEBREW PRESS
Yediot Ahronot refers to the furor over the alleged failure to predict Hamas's victory in the recent PA elections and recalls that nobody predicted the Likud's unprecedented victory in the 1977 elections.
Hatzofeh asserts that, "Sharon's successors will not admit that the act of uprooting contributed to Hamas's victory."
Yediot Ahronot, in its second editorial, reminds its readers that the national water company shut off the water to an Israeli Arab community over its council's failure to pay an outstanding debt but says that the company would never dare do so to a Jewish community. The editors accuse the company of racism and hypocrisy.
Yediot Ahronot, in its third editorial, fears that Israelis will not vote for socio-economic motives but for security ones.
Yediot Ahronot, in its fourth editorial, says that the Likud is resorting to scare tactics in its effort to besmirch Kadima.
