SUMMARY OF EDITORIALS FROM THE HEBREW PRESS
Yediot Ahronot asserts that, "The violence of the Jewish residents in Hebron and the irresponsible youths who are helping them, is enraging the public at large and embarrassing the more moderate settlers in Judea and Samaria." The editors believe that Jews claiming property that was held by them prior to 1948 in areas that were subsequently occupied by Jordan will set a precedent regarding Arab-held pre-1948 property in areas that are now part of Israel.
Hatzofeh commends both the democratic process in which the Labor Party chose its Knesset list and the quality of its candidates, and contrasts both with the situation in Kadima.
