April 2008
Dear Friends in Christ,
May of 2008 will be five years since Christians For Biblical Israel was a pressing burden and prayer on mine and Timmie’s heart. Since that time the Lord has greatly blessed and provided in the ministry. Today CFBI is again facing a time requiring much prayer with its pressing needs and desire to be a blessing to people in need.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your heartfelt prayers that have made CFBI a success. It is because of you that God has used this ministry to bring Glory to His most Holy Name. Please pray that our Lord will continue to grow CFBI and by doing so be a blessing to many people.
Our initial filing for final non-profit status with the IRS and their recent reply suggests that our 501 (c) (3) permanent status will be granted. However, please keep in your prayers that it will be retained. Your gifts do remain tax deductible.
Please continue praying for my health. I have not improved as fast as I had hoped after my heart attack in January. However, I know that I am in the Lord’s Hand and He will provide and work together for our good. Romans 8:28. Pray for Timmie too. She has been so helpful in my recovery and has been working very hard.
Our 2008 Annual Collection/Distribution trip to Israel this year will be between October 27 and November 18. Again we are looking at a 9 – 12 day trip to visit with our projects and to spend a few days touring Israel. We hope to keep the cost around $2500 per person, or lower, depending on the prices when we make our reservations. Please keep this trip in your prayers. Our prayer is to be a special blessing to our projects during this time. Contact us after you have prayed and believe the Lord would have you go to Israel with us. Visiting the places where Jesus lived and walked, of course, is not mandatory in our walk with Him, but it is a very special time and worthy experience in our Christian life.
Please keep our Israel projects in your prayers. They have many continuing needs of monies and goods so they can be most effective in their reaching out to the unsaved and needy. Our recent letters and reports from them reveal just how much they need us. Even though our economic forecasts do not look good, please do all you can. The dollar in Israel has fallen drastically and the same dollars we provided for them in prior years do not go near as far as they once did. However, each project is very thankful for every gift.
Thank you very much for your prayers, gifts, cards, donations and support. We praise and thank the Lord for each of you in our prayers, and are thankful for your faithfulness in getting the Gospel into all the World.
Yours for Israel and God’s Chosen People,
Talmadge Campbell and all with CFBI
